Karim (Karim Presents/Boom Boom)

Karim was born in Cambrdige, UK in 1983 and raised in Sydney, Australia where his passion for music developed. Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Charles Aznavour, Nina Simone, Daft Punk, Cassius all had strong influences on Karim’s early musical life. Chicago’s radio influences and House artists such as Ron Hardy , Larry Heard, Lil Louis, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Gene Hunt , Mike Dunn, Frankie Knuckles , Walter Get Down Brown and Andre Hatchett, helped educated and ignite the love for house music for Karim.

He began spinning in 2004. Spending much time developing his sound, Karim started throwing parties in Sydney to share his passion. Throwing successful parties with the likes of Rick Wade, Marcellus Pittman and Anthony “Shake” Shakir, he was always poised for success and a passion in the sound.

In 2010, he started Karim Presents – a touring company specialising in quality underground acts. Along side, starting a quarterly party – “Boom Boom” which is situated in the dark sensual alleys of Sydney. Stepping it up, and bringing it back, Karim uses all his influences to craft and play straight from deep inside his soul..
